RTCWRI / Software Engineer & Data Science Intern

During my internship at the Regional Training Center for Water Resources and Irrigation (RTCWRI), I engineered a data-driven project focused on soil analysis and automated crop selection. I worked alongside a team of researchers to identify key data points and develop a robust analytical model that significantly improved the accuracy of crop suggestions based on soil composition. My role also involved translating this complex data into a user-friendly interface, which empowered field technicians to easily access and interpret the results. This experience not only honed my technical skills in data analysis but also gave me practical experience in applying them to real-world agricultural challenges.
In order to bring this project to a wider audience, I utilized my skills in React.js to develop a user-friendly web application. I built a dynamic and responsive interface that allowed field technicians to easily input soil data and receive instantaneous, actionable recommendations. This front-end development work was essential for translating the complex back-end data into a visually intuitive and accessible tool, making the project's insights available to those in the field who needed them most.
